Palm Springs area Hotels

The desert is absolutely beautiful in the Spring, so there’s no better time for me to share with you my recommended Palm Springs area Hotels, than now.
With Coachella and Stagecoach music festivals going on every Spring, the Coachella Valley is definitely the place to be! The desert weather couldn’t be more perfect, either.
High End
Parker Palm Springs
This hotel became famous from being featured in the Bravo TV series Welcome to the Parker. Its quite an interesting, whimsical and unique resort. It’s one of the reasons why this resort had its own show.
The rooms are spacious and includes all the luxurious amenities, including a flat screen TV. The restaurants are hip and trendy. Plenty activities can be found, including croquet, tennis, swimming in a saline pool, family pool and adults only pool. A real fun resort! 4200 E. Palm Canyon Dr. 92264
JW Marriott Desert Springs Resort and Spa
About 14 miles away from Palm Springs and oh so worth the extra 30 minute drive. This is my favorite resort in the desert. Desert Springs Resort is in my top favorite hotels in California, in fact.
This huge resort has 5 wonderful pools, 2 champion golf courses, a waterway with gondola tours, with the waterway starting in the lobby of the hotel! You can even take the gondola to the fabulous restaurants. There’s even a sushi bar in the newly renovated and now beautiful lobby.
There’s a state-of-the-art spa and fitness center, as well as, tennis clay and grass courts, miniature golf for the whole family to enjoy and great shopping at the Desert Springs Resort.
The rooms are comfortable, modern and big. All with balconies, some with views of the mountains and some with view of the pools. The bathrooms are spacious and clean
I stay here at least twice a year and never want to leave. Honestly, I could go on and on, and maybe I will do so, at a later date..74-855 Country Club Drive, Palm Desert 92260
Omni Rancho Las Palmas Resort and Spa
Another one of my favorite resorts is located in Rancho Mirage. A very family friendly resort, being that there’s a fun waterpark with a lazy river, right smack in the middle of the resort. We spent a lot of vacations here, while raising our daughter, especially when she was a toddler.
The rooms are scattered through out the resort. All have huge balconies or patios with a golf course surrounding the resort. Rooms are big and have a minibar, flatscreen TV, and roomy bathrooms.
Theres a beautiful spa, tennis courts, bicycling, golf course, 2 pools, one is an adult only pool. It’s much quieter there. There’s a restaurant on site. Across the street there’s the Rancho Las Palmas Shopping Center, with lots of good restaurants and a movie theater. Great all around, family resort. 41000 Bob Hope Drive, Rancho Mirage, 92270
Riviera Palm Springs
Huge, Hip hotel conveniently located in the middle of Palm Springs. This resort has a vintage Vegas feel with pictures of old Hollywood stars hung all over the walls. Word is that the rat pack hung out here back in the day!
The resort grounds are beautiuflly landscaped. Rooms are bright, spacious and clean. They have 2 large pools, cabanas and fire pits lit all around, in the evening. Nice spa and salon, as well as a restaurant and trendy bar, of course.
This resort is also dog friendly, for an extra charge, which is a big plus for my family! 1600 N. Indian Canyon Dr Palm Springs 92262
Mid Range
Ace Hotel Palm Springs
In the heart of Palm Springs, close to all Palm Springs attractions, shopping and dining. Ace Hotel and Swim Club has 2 pools and an outdoor fireplace. Very trendy hang out for the young and hip.
Rooms are modern, all with a flatscreen TV. Room views are city, pool or mountains. I personally, love the mountain view. Desert mountain are so gorgeous during sunset!
Their restaurants, King’s Highway and Swim Club serves american fare food. The Amigo Room bar serves delicious cocktails and is quite the scene in the evenings. Very hip place to stay. I love the Ace boutique hotel chain. It’s just my style! 701 E. Palm Canyon Dr, Palm Springs, 92264
Avalon Palm Springs
This boutique hotel use to be Viceroy Palm Springs and just recently transitioned to Avalon Hotel. Still is a highly recommended place to stay in Palm Springs. It’s a bit higher end than the mid range hotels. It can be a bit expensive in the winter and spring time. However, summer time you can score a room at a reasonable rate. Its a pretty special little spot, to me, so I think it’s worth it.
Its a small hotel with 3 really pretty pools and cabanas, with soft music playing through out the resort. There’s 2 hot tubs which they make into ice bath in the summer. The decor is all in black and white. Its a quiet and relaxing place. Rooms are white, plush and comfy. With big balconies or patios. Just perfect.
The Estrella Spa is quaint, but so amazing. Citron restaurant, located inside this hotel, is the real star here. Might be the best reastaurant in all of Palm Springs. Sit under the lemon trees and you’ll feel the romance and magic of this special place. The food is elegant and delicious.
This boutique hotel is a perfect, quiet retreat, if you’re looking to get away from the hustle and bustle. Put your phone away and enjoy. 415 S. Belardo Road, Pal Springs, 92262
The Saguaro Palm Springs
The Saguaro Palm Springs is a A Joie de Vivre Hotel. With world class boutique hotels all around the United States, you’ll know you’re staying here in style. This colorful hotel has a throw back Hollywood style.
The hotel is cozy, yet colors are bursting from everywhere. Rooms and bathrooms are huge. The pool is inviting with live music and movies are provided for entertainment while sunbathing. Pink towels are handed out, to stay in the colorful theme! There’s a delicious mexican restaurant on site, which is perfect. Free shuttle to downtown Palm Springs is a big plus! 1800 E. Palm Canyon Dr. Palm Springs, 92264
Budget
Caliente Tropics Hotel
Tiki style motor Lodge that has been since the 1960’s. It’s rumored that Elvis hung out poolside at this kitschy place. It’s quaint and clean, with spacious rooms.
Located close to all Palm Springs attractions. The pool is large and inviting. There’s a large lawn to sunbathe on or play games on. This motor Lodge has free wireless internet access, has mini refrigerators and is pet friendly. Pretty good deal, for the affordable price. 411 E. Palm Canyon Dr. Palm Springs, 92264

This little Inn is hidden away in a quiet residential neighborhood and about 140 ft away from Moorten Botanical Garden. Rooms have a micro-wave, refrigerator, free wi-fi and all rooms have balconies or patios.
