Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel and Spa
The hotel is the most upscale Hotel in Anaheim and is exactly what it’s name says it is, it is grand!! With huge, soaring timber beams above the massive lobby of the six story hotel, it’s beauty and grandeur starts the minute you walk through the doors. There are 948 rooms available, that are big and comfy. There are rooms that are specifically for families and there are more intimate rooms, as well. All are upscale and elegant.
There are events for children, like bedtime stories in the lobby and Pinocchio’s Workshop. Pinocchio’s Workshop includes arts, crafts, movies, with snacks and dinner. There’s a beautiful spa for adults to relax and linger at. Several restaurants, ranging from casual to high end, as well as superb room service are offered. A Kid’s Club is offered and large pool is there for you to enjoy after a day at the park! The best part of this resort is, that its literally steps away from the entrance of both Disneyland and California Adventure! 1600 Disneyland Drive, Anaheim 92803
This hotel is right on the property of the Disneyland Resort. Located right across Disneyland Drive, next to Downtown Disney. Built in 1955, The Disney Company purchased this hotel in 1988. Disney significantly changed the hotel from 1998 to 2001. The pool was refurbished, some rooms taken down, but the monorail station, which stops at the hotel, has stayed the same. More renovations were made in the past few years, to make it an even nicer hotel. All in all, Disneyland has become more modern and high end since the 1970’s.
Today, there are 990 elegant rooms and suites. 60 one, two and three bedroom suites are available. The rooms are up to 415 square feet, for up to 5 people. All kinds of activities are offered for the kids, including Pinocchio’s Workshop, located at The Grand Californian. When staying at The Disneyland Hotel, you’ll receive early entry into the park, sweet!! Again, Disneyland Monorail stops right at the hotel! How convenient and fun is that? 1150 W.
