Mostly everyone’s favorite season is summer and The 4th of July is the holiday that represents summer. 4th of July happenings in Los Angeles are truly what summer is all about in Southern California! The events are big, colorful and festive! The weather is always warm and perfect!
It’s the one holiday that everyone wants to celebrate. That’s because we’re all proud to be in this great country, The United States of America.
Whether it’s at home barbecuing, going to the park to view fireworks, or hit the beach. We’re all out celebrating, one way or another. Here are some of the most popular events, in the south land, for you to consider..
4th of July AmericaFest at the Rose Bowl – One of the biggest firework shows in all of Southern California. It’s a grand celebration with food and music. Enjoyable for the whole family. It’s gets real crowded, so get there early. Parking lot opens at 10am, food courts open at 2pm and the stadium opens at 6:30, with the show starting at around 7pm. Tickets are $13 for general admission and reserved seating is $25. If the price is too steep. There are plenty of outside of the Rose Bowl to view the fireworks, if you don’t want to spend the money going in. Fireworks starts at 9:05. 1001 Rose Bowl Drive, Pasadena, CA 91103
4th of July Celebration at the Hollywood Bowl – This is one of my favorite venues to celebrate the holiday. It’s so Los Angeles, it’s so American. There’s always a great musical artist performing. The weather is always so great. The view is phenomenal. Fireworks and music are absolutely perfect. You should celebrate the 4th of July here, at least once in your life! 2301 N. Grand Avenue, between Grand Ave & Spring St.
Skybar’s Salute to Independence – If you’re going to be in the West Hollywood area, you’re young and hip, without kids, then this party is for you! A whole weekend of partying, starting on Friday with a pool party from 1pm til 8pm. On the 4th, Skybar hosts a pre-fireworks party with an all day barbecue and tunes from guest DJs. Food and drinks, a plenty, 11am-5pm. Yet, another pool party on the 5th! whew! Wish I was young and hip! Located at the Mondrian Hotel, 8440 Sunset Blvde, West Hollywood 90069
Fireworks and The Dodgers – When the Dodgers are in town for the 4th, then that’s where you’ll find my family at. Nothing better to us, than celebrating the 4th of July with baseball. The Dodgers will play their game and afterwards, they put on quite a fireworks show, with great patriotic music. The Dodger’s Firework shows are one of my favorites. They really do go all out.
